Well, it would "[I]appear[/I]" that Bob has done something with Windows [I]that I have NOT seen elsewhere![/I]

First, he flipped the Menu Bar and the Title Bar!

And...second...he has overtaken the "[I]Maximize Button[/I]".
* I do believe that Philip had inferred point this from an earlier reply...however, the extent of that inference did NOT make any sense...until this morning anyhow.

In [I]normal [/I]Windows parlance, when you maximize an application Window, that taskbar remains visible. Though some applications permit the employment of the F11 key - not all applications do.

However, with SAC and SAW, when you invoke the "[I]Maximize[/I]" option, the entire UI is maximized...akin to the employment of the F11 key!

In ALL of my scripts, I have employed a utility entitled, "ToggleTaskbarAutohid.exe" [TTA] which 1) hides the Taskbar if the Taskbar is currently visible, or 2) [/size][size=100]displays the Taskbar if the Taskbar is currently hidden.
* This, the normal process has been Launch TTA, Launch SAC|SAW, Exit SAC|SAW, Launch TTA.

Having SAC|SAW store the MAX|NON-MAX UI state via "[I]F-Key Default[/I]" - negates the requirement to employ TTA!

Me: Have you noticed that the Menu Bar is located at the top of the Window, and not below the Title Bar - as is the situation with all Windows-based applications?

2. Pressing Windows+D normally hides all windows to show the desktop. The SAW windows stays on screen, though. This is actually a good thing, because Windows+D can thus be used to show the Task Bar. Pressing Windows+D once more will hide the Task Bar again. When the Task Bar is visible, one can use the Tab and Arrow keys to navigate to the various elements of the Task Bar (and use Enter to launch a pinned application).


3. Pressing the Windows key alone, the Task Bar will also be displayed together with the Start Menu. Now one can type the name of a program to find it and press Enter to launch it or press the Windows key again to get rid of the Task Bar again.


4. I like to use dedicated desktops for different applications. So SAW will be the only program on its desktop. You can switch between desktops with Window+Ctrl+Arrow left/right.

I don't maximize SAC or SAW because I need quick access to other programs, (Task Bar, File browser, Media Player, Web Browser, etc).

My default windows are already set to use the entire screen, so maximizing would only cover the task bar at the bottom and I don't want that covered.

Third, "[I]If you DO NOT employ the 'Maximize Button', then why do you NOT do so?[/I]"
