Drumagog6
Now, in the past, I would go on a hunt for the DLL file and place it into the VST folder. I can not find that file, although I've done that in the past with Drumagog5 with great results. Any suggestions?
Re: Drumagog6
From what I can see, there is no vst2 version anymore, which would be the reason you can not treat it the same as the older versions. For use with SAC and SAWStudio you would need the V2 versions so you can handle the current VST3 Drumagog. This requires special handling of the install as specified in the helpfile VST3 information section.

Re: Drumagog6
It's been a while now, so let's see what I'm doing wrong.
Upgraded to SawStudio V2
Upgraded to Drumagog6
Drumagog6 location: "C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Drumagog 6.vst3\Contents\x86_64-win\Drumagog 6.vst3"
Opened Notepad and created the ini file named Drumagog6.INI
Entered the path: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Drumagog 6.vst3\Contents\x86_64-win\Drumagog 6.vst3
Saved into the SawStudio's VST_Plugins.
SawStudio will not open after initializing the VST
I removed the ini, and SAW opens.

Re: Drumagog6
I don't believe you can save into the SAW/SAC VST folder.
I think you have to let drumagog install in what ever location it wants to, and then configure the .ini file to point to that location.

Re: Drumagog6
sounds like you are doing everything correctly... but, if you are using Windows 11 the notepad no longer creates simple ascii txt files... you will need to use something like notepad++ instead of the Win11 notepad.
Also, make sure you have only 1 RETURN at the end of the line of text in the ini file... not two or three blank lines.

Re: Drumagog6
Installed Notepad++
Opened a new file.
Entered, C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Drumagog 6.vst3\Contents\x86_64-win\Drumagog 6.vst3
Checked the address in File Explorer for path errors. None found
Save as MS ini file (Drumagog6.ini) into SAW's VST_Plugin folder.
The bottom of the Notepad++ screen states "MS ini file, 1 line Windows (CR LF) UTF-8-BOM
Opening SAW error still exists.

Re: Drumagog6
You might try temporarily renaming (or copying including the contents) the Drumagog 6.vst3 folder to Drumagog6.
Change your .ini to:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Drumagog6\Contents\x86_64-win\Drumagog 6.vst3
The replication or the extension may be confusing the file name parser.

Still no luck.

Re: Drumagog6 FIXed
Found this in an earlier thread.
"Make sure you end the path line in the .ini file with a Return key... just one... so the cursor in the file ends up on the 2nd line and goes down no further.... if you press the down arrow key, there should be no blank extra lines.
See if that helps.

Works Great!!!!
Thanks, Bob.
On with the show!
(PS - I need to read more thoroughly.)
