SAWStudio / SAC User Group

Long time user. I've set up SawStudio on a new computer. On my old install, the region name in multi track view appeared at the top of the file display. The default on the new, however, puts it in the middle, obscuring the waveform. How do I move the region name from the middle of the file display to the top of the display? Searched help file, but likely lacked matching terminology.

Hi, multitrack menu -> entry name position

Also,
if you want this to be the behavior every time you open a session, be sure to save the change to your default preference file -
File-Preference File-Save Default.

You might also want to save your current preferences as a file that you can recall later, before saving this new default.

I beg to differ. There are so many features and variables it becomes overwhelming. Some of them are tucked away and others in plain sight. I've learned more from these forum questions over time than I could possibly retain from my initial manual read way back when.
