Yes I that may be it but why when I just try to name a channel does it happen?

And the name box shows any old text but I don't have control to add any text.

But you could be right, I did move SAC and any other windows out of the way to see but I could have covered something.

I will stay on it and reply back but it has been happening for months so an answer may not be rapid...

I appreciate everyone assisting as you know to have a problem and feel alone sometimes assistance is comforting..

Thank you.

The symptoms sure sound like a dialog box hiding somewhere, waiting for you to hit 'OK'...

Tomy,

I will check that but it also will lock up if I try and rename a channel (only if the engine is live - not live and all is well).

Thank you.

Check your path settings and verify that the folders are not write-protected. Windows locks the write access to some locations by default (like C:\programs ).

Larry,

Thank you for the assistance.

Win 10 Pro - 20H2 build 19042.985 i7 10700 cpu 2.90 ghz, 64 g ram..

Since we built it nothing has changed but we have been experiencing problems from day 1....

Again it could be operator error but I have been running SAC for a while (SAW live before SAC) but still it could be me.

Larry,

You stated, "We built a "New Computer" months ago and the Hardware has stayed the Same but I have had this problem from the start" ... So 1) "a new computer", meaning new hardware, and 2) by "the Hardware has stayed the Same" .. meaning that the I/O hardware is the same...correct?

May I ask what hardware has remained the same? What is OS?

It is in the Church and I don't have access all of the time (it is the Churches Main System).
I will come in early one day and give that a test.

Thank you.

Larry,

Can you test out ASIO4ALL and see if that resolves any issues?

You can then use the internal audio card for test purposes.

We built a "New Computer" months ago and the Hardware has stayed the Same but I have had this problem from the start.

Yes I was working with plugins, but I started from scratch and used NO plugins to solve but still happening.

You know how these things go so yes I could be doing something but the fresh start we an attempt to take all of that out of play...

Larry,

What has changed?

New plugin install?
If WIN10, a version update?

What...is anything, is the possible trigger?

SAC 64 is locking up

SAC 64 is locking up where I can't save preferences or type new names after a while.

This is happening when the engine is live and I have to task manage and shut it down.

If I stop the engine all is well then I just start the engine again. I am on Dante so I have to re asio select or that won't work as normal.

Been happening for months..

just tried 1.2 and will install 1.3 after rehearsal...

Still happening. . .
