Well, there ought to be plenty of ADA8200s out there. They're still making that one, I think. A little patience, and I think you'll be fine.

Thanks Dave. I have thought about it and decided to just keep searching for the Behringer ADA8200s here or for an affordable way to get them into the country. The RME Digiface Usb was my first step to setting up a portable 32x32 sac rig and if I were to go with the X32 core and the Klark Teknik adat expansion card the digiface usb would have handled interfacing with sac since its reported to work very well. That is also why I asked about the stability of the X32 usb card in interfacing with sac, so if it were stable, I'd have just used it directly to interface with sac and would not purchase the klark teknik adat expansion card and perhaps would either sell my rme digiface usb or leave it for use with another sac rig build in the future. After intense an search I found someone selling one ada8200 for pretty cheap and its only been used twice so I'll keep up the search. As for the X32 option, I think I'll just let that go for now.

Not sure if it matters to you, but the X32 Core was discontinued by Behringer a few years back. That said, I think they're still making the M32C (the Midas equivalent), so maybe they're still supporting the Core?

I've also not used an X32 live with SAC, but I can report that using an X32 Rack with SAW to record many channels via USB has worked without issue. If that helps at all.

If the cost works for you, it seems like a workable approach to me. But what purpose would the Digiface USB serve? I wouldn't think you'd need it.

Dell, I'm so sorry I never messaged you back, I resumed work at a new job and got a little caught up settling into my responsibilities. Oh I would love to go the known route because that actually gives 32ins and 32outs, that amount of outputs would be great for running in-ear monitor mixes which I recently got into. However, finding the Behringer Ada8200 in my country is challenging, I love my country and I'm proud to be a Nigerian so much so to have refused to move elsewhere and want to contribute positively but honestly things run different here, I won't go into much detail but shipping stuff into this country costs up to half the price of the equipment and recently there have been restrictions imposed by my government to curtail the activities of fraudsters who I'm sure you know are giving us as a nation, a bad name globally, so using my card to purchase things in foreign currencies has become a hassle, paypal won't even link my account with my card anymore so I have to hire the services of legit Nigerians who have Nigerian accounts but live overseas, its crazy. All that is to say, when I saw those devices available locally here in my country I thought it wouldn't be bad to save costs and get them if they'll serve effectively for SAC which is a dream come true software for me. To make it a little more clear why I thought its a great opportunity, the x32 core is going for
the equivalent of $471.94 and the Klark Teknik DN32 adat is going for $427.00 and I saw an S32 stage box for the equivalent of $1483.25, all of these are new and I would not need to spend alot to get them to me in my city. So I wanted to hear if anyone got to use for live mixing with SAC. It seems though that I'll just save up and bear the expenses to get the ada8200s down here. I've used the x32 to interface to SAC and SAW for live recording (with SAC as the front end to SAW) for a few years and can say that it's worked quite well. This was with a ThinkPad/Win7 laptop's USB. Behringer's interface software is minimal and works fine on this pc. I never used this combo for live mixing, however, since all the pa mixing was being done by the x32 console wired into the auditorium's pa system.

I've had no issues to speak of with Win10 and SAC/SAW in my location recording pc, with SAC serving as the SAW front end and doing a basic 2-track mix out to streaming radio. But you can see that my needs aren't as demanding as it might be for someone running a full live mix, with monitor feeds and all that goes with live sound.


I've also got an RME Digiface USB recently and confirmed that it can work just fine for my laptop recording needs, should I have to use my own ADAT preamps (mostly Presonus 8-ch rackmount units) instead of the x32, or where that console is not available.

So, maybe not much there to help with your specific needs, but I hope it helps at some level.

No offense meant here Stephen, I gather that you are assuming that SAC users use the aforementioned equipment?

They will have to speak for themselves on this matter.

However, why not go the "known" route of RME and ADA's...or RME and "?"?

RME makes absolutely wonderful products and their support - both pre-sales and post-sales is second-to-none!

Hello everyone. So these just came up on my radar. I live in Nigeria and well purchasing and bringing in things here is a little complicated at the moment(shipping costs up to half or more the price of the product and strict regulations on international transactions in order to stop the activities of fraudsters), but these just became available locally:

I was wondering if the combination of these (X32 Core, Klark DN32 adat which are available locally here) with a Behringer S32 or Midas DL32 (which are also available locally and affordable) and an RME Digiface USB which I have already purchased would work well as I/O for SAC? The way I see it, it would give me all 32 preamps in one box and remote control of the preamps and its already here in my country so no expensive shipping costs for me. Also, please has anybody tried mixing live with SAC using the X32's usb interface?
I'm just weighing options here and I am more than happy to simply purchase the Behringer ADA8200s and use them for the I/O I need with SAC, well once I can find up to four of them locally which at the moment is a challenge, surprisingly we have some outdated but brand new Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 audio interfaces here selling for the same price you'd find ada8200s, and some of them are even new, but I can find a way to get the ada8200s with very careful search I suppose. Any advice and experience information would be highly appreciated. At the moment I have been fiddling around with SAC and my Behringer X18 which is a good bit of kit but is short on inputs for my needs.
