Presonus Firepod Experience?

I have noticed recently that the Presonus Firepod firewire interfaces are going pretty cheaply on eBay right now - like in the neighborhood of $60 for 8-in 8-out. Does anyone have any experience with these? Or are they that cheap for a reason?
