Yep. I agree.
I just tried a new workflow of linking files to the MT on one track and then I just can tab between each one and check editing very fast!

About the SoundFile view - I still think it would be a great feature to be able to set zoom levels globally so that any region I transfer to the Soundfile view will have the same zoom setting.

Thanks!

The method I just mentioned is pretty fast without having to use the mouse.

Thanks Bob,
Yes I am aware of this workflow.

What I'm looking for is an elegant/simple way to quickly cycle through lots of regions and seeing their waveforms without needing to click the mouse, which will break the speed of this.
It's a little funky request, but it's sometimes very useful to be able to hold the up or down arrows and let the waveform cycle through a whole bunch of regions. It almost becomes "stop motion" of waveform redraws that can really help with determining quality of edits and overall volume.

Another thing that must be in place to make this work is for the Sfile view to allow a global horizontal zoom levels to all regions.

Not sure if it's worth it for you to add this functionality but I use this type of feature often but I would need to use a different audio file browser tool just for that.

You can see all the waveforms of all regions in the project at the same time on the multitrack view... or you can down arrow and then hit enter to display a region from the reions list.

Hi all,

Is there a way to show a region's waveform in the soundfile view without needing to double click each region from the regions list?
I'm looking for a way to quickly view the regions waveform without necessary playing them back, and to be able to quickly select regions using the up/down arrows in the regions window and displaying each respective waveform.

It's very valuable when doing sound design to be able to quickly see the waveform to see overall volume, consistent attack times etc. Double clicking the region to display it really slows that process down if I want to quickly cycle through hundreds of regions to check consistency.
