This post might be a bit long, so I'll try to do it in parts so you can help me.
Here's an image of my system assembled, with the PC in the FOH control room with a 23" touchscreen and the Mackie MCU Pro controller:
I'm a regular user of large digital mixers like the Yamaha PM Rivage and CL or Digico Quantum and SD.
I like to always have things at hand while I'm working, and I'd like to get closer to that experience with the SAC64.
1. Effects and their control:
For delay effects, I'm using the SAC64's "Studio Echo/Delay," but I'd like to have a TAP Delay button on my Mackie MCU controller at all times. Is this possible?
On digital mixers, I usually have a "Mute Group" button ready to mute and unmute effects when the show requires it. Is this possible on my Mackie with the SAC64?
- On the other hand, I usually always have the Delay effect fader handy to accentuate or attenuate this effect when needed. How could I achieve this in SAC64? Do I need to have an MCU XT always fixed on the auxiliary faders, or could I configure a fader on my MCU for this?
- Finally, regarding effects, do you recommend any VST plugins for Reverb that work well in SAC64, don't use too many resources, and sound really good?
2.- Mackie MCU Pro Custom Skin:
- I'm going to make a custom sticker to use as a skin on my Mackie. Is there a template on the forum or website that shows all the SAC64 parameters on the MCU?
3.- Channel Strip Controller:
- I know my MCU can control the SAC64 channel strip, but I find it very difficult and slow to control the entire channel strip with only 8 knobs. Do you know of any drivers that can be used for this in SAC64 with the Mackie MCU Pro?
I've seen the following interesting drivers, but I'm not sure if they'll work:
If anyone knows if these or any other controllers can be used with the Mackie for the SAC channel strip, I'd appreciate it. I hope you can help me with some of the points. For me, the most important is point 1 and the topic of effects control. Best regards.
