win 10 - win 11
Does it make sense to upgrade SAC from Windows 10 to Windows 11? THE INTERNET SAYS NO, HAS ANYONE TRIED IT?
Re: win 10 - win 11
I've tried it, but from my point of view, it doesn't make sense for one simple reason. Optimized Windows 10 is much lighter than Windows 11. Even though Windows 10 updates are no longer available. If your system is dedicated to SAC and you don't connect your PC to the internet, it's best to stick with Windows 10.
My Setup SAC:
interface - digigramLX646
preamps - Yamaha Ad8hr
Outs - Yamaha DME80-es
protocol audio - Ethersound
I control gain remote

Re: win 10 - win 11
Hello,
Windows XP was one of the best OS's that Microsoft ever developed. So, why in the "h**l" would anyone want, or desire to move to WIN11?
And, by-the-way, the initial iterations of WIN11 implemented shareware-based AI!!! This is BAD to the bone!!
Newer versions of WIN11..for what I have been able to ascertain, will implement hardware-based AI!! My bones are how completely calcified!!! So, I am now "DOA"!!!
My office system is STILL employing WIN7. I only moved to WIN10 on a laptop due to no drivers being available!!
I am a semi-retire computer consultant - and I do have clients that are employing WINXP and WIN7...and ALL are very happy..."Thank You!"
Employ O&O ShutUp10 and tell MS "Would you be so kind as to go asexually reproduce with yourself at your earliest convenience please?"
