Pardon my apparent ignorance here, but Randy Hyde stated, "It will be interesting to see how the market for a software-based LAW shapes up with the onslaught of all these new digital consoles."
May I ask what exactly "LAW" stands for?
* I am assuming - whether rightly-so or not, that LAW is an acronym for "Live Audio Workstation"? Would this be a correct assumption?
I have considered all of the alternatives noted in this posting...even though now this posting maybe somewhat "dated", I do not ever see myself moving away from software-based "Mixer-in-a-box" or "Digital Audio Workstation" environments. The combination of SAC, SAW and MWS are simply too powerful and too intuitive to ever, ever, be replaced. At least in my book!
