VST on remote (SAC64)

Hi

I have been using SAC since 2009 (and SAW for live recordings a couple of years later).
We had 50-90 bands/artists a year, and SAC worked perfect every night. It was a small venue (up to 200 people), I also did 10-20 gigs every summer at other venues with my SAC

Doing sound in the same venue makes the job (for the soundguy (me) a lot easyer) with almost the same setup every time :)

But now I have been hired for 2 tours this autum first starting in 5 weeks, new venue every night, so.......

Is there any way to be able to remote use VST's?
I have a EQ and a reverb I need to use (yes I know, Bob's native EQ is great but I need some extra on a couple of instruments), and if I can use VST's on the remote I have one or two other VSTs I want to use.

I can run from FOH to the stage everytime I want to change/adjust something, but......... ;)

I have been searching this forum a couple of times, haven't found anything helpful yet, so I appreciate any suggestion/help, TIA

Best

You can control VSTs from the remote to a degree... you do so by using the save and load presets function.... so with a VST plugin loaded on both the host and remote... you can bring the plugin up on the remote and then load a preset that changes the settings... this will send a signal to load the preset on the host as well... so while it is not a live adjustment... it can be done by making the adjustment on the remote and saving a preset... then loading that preset right afterwards.

Beyond that... you can setup a zoom remote screen sharing scenario from the host and use zoom on a remote to control the host zoom screen... that is all live... the VSTs stay only on the host and you control them in realtime (with slight latency of zoom) from the remote.

Yes Bob, the VSTs can be controlled from the remote to a degree...
But the "update" from/to the VST's are one way, so it works but......eh.....
Presets is ok on some plugins, but other (like multi-band compression) is more challenging ;)

Zoom can work, or I can use DVI to HDMI adapter, and a wireless HDMI transmitter with receiver (and one extra screen) at FOH :)

I installed your Studio Freq. Analyzer (demo vers.), and that worked great on the remote (just had to install it on both FOH and my remote) :)
It's a great tool, and now I know it's working, (also on the remote) I have to have it :)

I have been testing a few VST's the last 2-3 days, some work, most don't (without additional software)

With your native plugins (I miss your reverb) and wireless HDMI, I will be ready to Rock when the tour starts \m/

And THANK YOU Bob for your work you do on this great software :)
