a small and delayd x-mas gift

Post by TomyN »

Hi,

I did a small native plug-in for SAC64. Thanks to Bob for his support.

The plugin just addes some small things that I've missed in SAC.
  • Levelsettings ( -16 to +4 dB) independend for L and R with 0.2 dB Resolution
  • Short delay, adjustable in samples, independend for L and R
  • Polarity inversion, independend for L and R
  • PC-Timedisplay
It's a SAC plug in, so it is fully remote aware. Currently it supports a maximum of 8 instances.

You can load it down from https://download.satlive.audio/sac/SubAli.zip

- Load it down
- Extract the SubAli.dll file
- Put it into the Native_Plugins folder in your SAC64 folder (and also into your SAC64remote folders)
- Put SubAli.dll into the SAC_FX_Native.ini file, also located in the Native_Plugins folder. Do not forget to end the last line in this file with Enter. And, on win11, do not use wordpad for this purpose.

NO LIABILITY FOR ANYTHING.

Enjoy

Thanks Tomy,

If you don't mind, could you tell us how you use this in your setup. Meaning what use cases?

Hi

I (develop and) use a Dual-FFT measurement app, which helps a lot for the alignment of subwoofers.
This results in delays which need a better resolution than the 1 millisecond available from the SAC delay. Furthermore I accidentely tapped the output delay a few times :-( so I prefer to have a 'tap safe version'.
Alignment sometimes need polarity inversion of an output (at least for verification).

So I use this plugin mainly in the output assigned to the subwoofer(s).

The time display is something I missed since my first use of SAC in 2010.

Hi Tomy,
Kudos for the useful surprise. Simple tools are often the most valuable.
All the better that you implemented it directly as a native plugin.
Many thanks!
