Seeking Legacy Mixtreme Drivers (4.2.5.2) and Mixer (4.2/4.5.1)

Post by Pedro V »

I working on a dedicated Windows XP, specifically optimized for SAWStudio.
I have a Mixtreme 1B card equipped with the 085-551 (S/PDIF / Superclock) daughterboard (dated 3/98).

As many of you know, the modern SSL/Sydec drivers (v6/MX4) are problematic for this vintage hardware, often causing "Invalid Password" errors or firmware conflicts.
I have spent days scouring the entire web for these files.
I've checked SSL's legacy site and extensively searched the Archive.org Wayback Machine.
While the original Sydec pages are indexed, the actual download links for the installers are dead.
My investigation here in the forums and across various documentation points to a specific "Holy Grail" setup for the best stability and lowest latency in SAWStudio:
Driver Version: 4.2.5.2 (Known as the most stable "rock" for XP and the Mixtreme 1B).
Mixer Version: 4.2 or 4.5.1.
I am looking for these specifically because my current setup rejects my hardware password (21AC7F1644AF) for the "Optional Modules" like the Superclock/Sync module when
using newer software versions.
I am convinced these legacy versions handle the hardware validation much better without requiring modern iLok or SSL licenses.
Does anyone happen to have these specific installers (.zip or .exe) tucked away on a backup drive? Any help or links to a private repository would be a lifesaver for keeping
this classic hardware running at its peak within the SAW environment.

I just sent a link to your email. Hopefully what you need is in there.

Good luck!
